Prepping your machine to ship:

Super Automatics:
- Turn machine on and wait for it to heat up
- Place a container that can hold 16 oz. or more of water under the steam wand
- Activate the steam option and open your steam knob
- Remove the water tank while the machine is steaming
- Let all the steam come out before closing the steam valve
- Your machine's boiler should now be drained
Semi automatic or traditional:
- Read and understand these instructions entirely before attempting to drain your boiler. If you have questions, consult our Tech department before continuing.
- To avoid the risk of burning yourself please make sure the machine is completely cooled and unplugged before starting this process.
- Find a tall-sided container that can hold about 16 oz. or more.
- Remove the portafilter handle, water tank and any other loose parts that may fall when the machine is tipped over.
- Lay the machine on its back.
- With all buttons and switches in the off position, plug in the machine.
- Hold the container under the steam wand and tilt it slightly down so that the container is in a position to catch water that will be coming out of the steam wand.
- Turn on the power switch.
- Activate the pump by opening the steam wand valve and turning on the hot water dispensing button if necessary.
- Run the machine until the stream of water has dissipated.
- Now tilt the machine on its top, following the steam wand with your container.
- The water flow will probably increase at this point.
- Once the water has stopped, rest the machine back down on its back and turn off your water and main power switches and unplug your machine. Your machine's boiler is now drained.
2. Make sure all parts are dry and vacuum out any coffee grounds or beans in the grinder hopper.
Please tape shut all loose parts such as grinder lids, water tanks, doors, dregs drawers.
Wrap the portafilter separately in the box.
