As a service provider, our customers rely heavily on the people that make up the Purple Turtle Coffee Company. We thought we would take a moment or two to introduce ourselves.
John Nolley:
Education: Engineering
Certifications: Factory trained Astoria, Bunn, Fetco, Franke, Curtis, Saeco, and La Marzocco.
Marylee Jackson:
Education: Marine Biology and extensive OR training
Certifications: Astoria, Bunn, Fetco, Curtis and Saeco.
Primary responsibilities: Purchasing, sales, and dispatching (if you call wanting commercial equipment serviced, you are talking to me).
Shanin Tysarczyk:
Education: Information Processing
Primary responsibilities: Print and digital media creation, invoicing, and front line customer response (call our main line and I will probably answer). How I got here: Back in 2007 I was looking for employment in a relaxed workplace. All in all it has been a great experience and I love the coffee!
Shawn McMenamin:
Education: Culinary arts
Certifications: Astoria, Tea Certification level 1, 2 and 3 from the Specialty Tea Institute.
Primary responsibilities: Technician, working extensively with Saeco and sales.
How I got here: My background is in food. When I graduated college, I was looking for an industry where I could make my mark and find different avenues to explore. Coffee and tea seemed perfect, being a rapidly developing specialty industry. Years later I am still with the company, and as it has changed from focusing on roasted coffee to a fully fledged service company, I have changed with it.
